Cinnamon-Raisin Breakfast Mix


  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup margarine, tub-style
  • 1 1/2 cups square, whole-grain corn cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups square, whole-grain rice cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups square, whole-grain wheat cereal
  • 1/2 cup raisins or dried cranberries


1. In small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
2. In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds, or until melted.
3. Stir in cereals until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute.
4. Sprinkle half of the sugar mixture evenly over cereals; stir. Sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture; stir.
5. Microwave uncovered 1 minute.
6. Stir in raisins or dried cranberries. Spread on paper towels to cool.

National Taco Day!

Let’s cook soft tacos!


3 teaspoons of chili powder

2 teaspoons of paprika

2 teaspoons of ground cumin

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

1/8 teaspoons cayenne pepper

1 pound of lean beef

2 tomatoes




  1. Mix all of the seasonings together in a bowl
  2. Put the beef in a pan on medium-high heat
  3. Add half of the seasoning on top of the beef
  4. Stir the beef and seasoning
  5. Cook the meat until all of it is almost brown and add the rest of the seasoning
  6. Finish cooking the meat until all of it is brown
  7. Heat your tortillas on a skillet
  8. Cut your vegetables up to put on top of your tacos
  9. To assemble tacos, layer beef mixture, lettuce, and tomatoes in each tortilla. Serve with salsa.
