Angela and her three kids — Arlette, 4, Ladiel, 12, and Angel, 15 — have a special family tradition called, “Fort Day.” They bring pillows and blankets into the living room and build forts. Then, they share snacks and spend quality time together.

It’s clear in talking with Angela that her children are her highest priority…and that includes making sure they have good, healthy food to help them thrive.

With ongoing high food prices and high electricity bills, keeping enough healthy food at home can be difficult for Angela — especially with the appetites of her two older boys.

Thanks in part to the support of friends like you, Angela can take home nutritious food from the West Texas Food Bank mobile food pantry at the Far West Event Center. This resource has proved to be a big relief for Angela and her children.

“When [my kids] see me relax, they relax,” Angela shares. “That extra gallon of milk or loaf of bread… it really does make a difference.”

Receiving treats like coconut or baked goods is like a luxury for Angela and her kids.

“Seeing the faces of my children light up… that’s everything to me,” Angela shares.

Your generosity helps more West Texas families like Angela’s have access to the nourishing food needed to live a healthy, fulfilling life. Thank you.
