FOOD BANK FACILITIES
For over 35 years, the mission of the West Texas Food Bank has been to alleviate hunger through community partnerships. We are committed to providing access to food across our 19-county service area in West Texas.
As our population continued to grow in West Texas, so did the need for food. In 2013, the West Texas Food Bank kicked off a capital campaign to build two new facilities. $13.3 million was raised by August 2014. Construction was completed on the Odessa headquarters, and we occupied the new building in January 2016. The Volunteer and Education facility in Midland opened January 2017. The Food Bank’s expansion to two facilities has greatly improved our ability to serve our hungry neighbors more efficiently.
